O Christmas tree

Hello lovely people,

I had the most wonderful weekend away in Torquay with 4 other couples and their Caterham 7 cars.  We drove around in our fabulous cars, visited a heritage fairground, ate and drank lots and generally had a HUGE amount of fun :-)

We got back later than I thought we would on Sunday so I am still chasing my tail a bit and am a little late sharing my card for the new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday - oops!  This time our theme is...

NON-TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS
So, think non-traditional colours and/or images

We are sponsored by Zlatoena's Design with a prize of 2 digi images for the winner :-)

I have a large stack of gorgeous Pion DP ready for my Christmas makes and none of it is in traditional colours so this was pretty easy for me!

I have had this stamp for several years and it's always one of the first I reach for each year as it is super cute... in any colour!

Card recipe;
DP: Days of Winter - Pion Design (available from Live and Love Crafts)
Sentiment: from Pink Petticoat (now discontinued)
Charm: Live and Love Crafts I think but can't find it on there!

Copic colours;
Tree: G40/YG63/G94/G99
Bunnies: E41/42/43
Mice / snow: W00/1/3
Blanket / stars: R0000/000/00/01

I hope you will pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and check out the fabulous creations, and the top tips from the rest of the team, including some great tips on mass production from Deneen.

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Anyone for tennis?

Hello lovely people,

Today I have a card to share that was commissioned by a work colleague for her partner's 50th birthday.  She asked if I was able to put specific wording on the inside and although I don't normally decorate the inside of my cards I said I easily could.  But then I decided to do a criss cross design instead as I think a lift out panel is a lovely way to add some text.  Fortunately it went down very well!

Other than the wording it was to be football or tennis themed and guess who just happened to fall into my basket a few weeks ago?  It's Tennis Edwin... or John McEnroe according to Dr. Hubby!

I always feel that criss cross designs don't necessarily need a lot of embellishment as the design adds plenty of interest itself, perfect for a male design of course!
So I just stitched everything...really, absolutely everything!  Then all I needed was a little bit of twine and a sentiment and I let Edwin take centre stage... or should that be centre court?!

Here's a little bit of a peek at the pull out tag but I won't show you all of the personal wording!

Card recipe;
Image: Tennis Edwin - Magnolia
DP: Vintage spring basics & Sofiero - Maja Design (available from Live and Love Crafts)

Copic colours;
Skin: E000/00/21/11/04 & R20
Hair: E21/25/29
T-shirt / shorts: W00/1/3
Socks / green details: YG61/G21/YG63
Shoes: W00/1/2/3/5
Racket: E41/42/43
Ball: YR30/31/Y21
Ground: YG61/G21/YG63/G94/G99

I don't seem to have had many cards for you lately; even though I have been busy in my craft room I have been trying to get ahead with DT cards so of course I can't show you those yet!

I won't have any for you this weekend either as I am off to Torquay with the Gloucestershire Caterham Seven Club; I do hope it doesn't rain so we can keep the roof off!

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Challenges I am playing along with;
1.  Papertake Weekly (oh how cute - well, I think Tennis Edwin is cute!)
2.  Simon Says Stamp (anything goes)
3.  Midweek Magnolias (autumn/fall - the colours here feel very autumnal to me)
4.  Sweet Magnolia (spots and dots - on the tag)
5.  Simply Magnolia (anything goes)

Stylish birthday

Hello lovely people,

It's time (again!) for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this month is...

SPARKLE AND BLING

This is a theme that I always think will be easy but then I remember how bad I am at this, so once again my sparkle and bling is on the low key side!
I added glamour dust to the bows and frilly bits of present wrappings and some little gems to some of the corners of the DP.

I have wanted this stamp for such a long time but it was always out of stock so I was excited to finally get my hands on it a month or so ago... and then it sat in my 'need to use' box for a little while until I finally got round to using it for this card!

Card recipe;
Image / sentiment: Uptown Girl Posh has a present - Stamping Bella
DP: Yours Truly - Pebbles (available from Hey Little Magpie)

Copic colours;
Skin: E000/00/21/11 & R20
Hair: E53/57/59
Pinks: R81/83/85
Teals: BG0000/000 & BG53/57/09
Ground: N0/1/3/4

If you haven't already done so then head over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies, including a special guest appearance from a very talented lady...you'll just have to go and see who it is!

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Challenges I am playing along with;
1.  As You Like It (fave rubber stamp - my newest stamp purchase is usually my current fave and this is especially true with this one as I have wanted it for so long... I think it's going to get used a lot!)
2.  A Creative Romance (anything goes)

Football fever

Hello lovely people,

It seems I've been away from blogging for a while again; this time was for the very good reason of being on holiday!  I was in Devon but the cottage we were staying in had no WiFi and there was no 3G connection to be had anywhere we went so I was a bit cut off.  On the plus side we had amazing sunshine all week and a wonderfully relaxing time :-D

So now of course it's time for a new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and our theme is...

KIDS!

We are sponsored by 2cuteink and the prize is 2 images of the winners choice :-)

I have used another of my collection of LOTV stamps that haven't seen ink and since I needed to make a football card for a little boy, well, how could I not use him?!
My stash is always overflowing with pretty girly DP and there never seems to be much in there for the boys so I grabbed a pad of this quite old collection of Maja DP recently with boys cards in mind... it works a treat!

I had a request for the footballer to be dressed in the new Forest Green Rovers kit... so, off to the internet to see what it looked like and surprise surprise... it's green!  In fact it is VERY green!  I trawled through my Copic collection to try to get a good match and it's not perfect but I think it will do.

Card recipe;
DP: Life in the Country - Maja Designs (available from Live and Love Crafts)
Sentiment: Happy Circular Sentiments - LOTV
Dies: memory box mini star set and Precious stars (minus bows!)
Letters: cut with Cricut

Copic colours;
Skin: E000/00/21/11/04 & R20
Hair: ???
Shirt/shorts: YG13/G14/YG17 & N8/9/100
Ball: N8/9/100 & N0/1
Boots: N7/8/9
Grass: YG61/63/G94/99

I hope you will pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team plus a fabulous tutorial on all kinds of masking from Deneen :-)

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Challenges I am playing along with;
1.  Cute Card Thursday (too cute!)
2.  Sweet Stampin' (spots and stripes)

Snowball fight!

Hello lovely people,

It's a double blog post day from me today so if you're after my card for In The Pink then just scroll on down.

However, if you are here for the new challenge at Crafty Little Fairies then you are in the right place and our theme this month is...

SPARKLE AND BLING

We have 4 fabulous sponsors this month so do check those out on the blog to see what you could win :-)

I am on a roll this year with my Christmas cards and for this one I have teamed up a new-to-me Tilda and some of my enormous new stash of Pion DP!  I bought loads of Christmas papers, some from new and some from old collections.
My bling is a little shy in the photos but I have some from the Frantage in the corners, gems on the snowflakes, a little charm and the snow is all covered in glitter...fairly subtle I'll admit but that's how I like my bling :-)

I adore skiing so of course I had to get this Tilda stamp although she does appear to be snowball fighting rather than skiing!
I did think about giving her gloves but it's quite hard to roll a good snowball with gloves on so she has bare hands... just in case anyone was wondering!

Card recipe;
Image: In the snow Tilda - Magnolia
DP: Silent Night - Pion Design (available from Live and Love Crafts)
Tag: computer generated sentiment and hand cut into fishtail
Dies: Impression Obsession snowflake set
Frantage / snowflake charm - from Live and Love Crafts

Copic colours;
Skin: E000/00/21/11/04 & R20
Hair: E444/47/49
Blues: BG0000/B91/93/34
Skis: E40/41/42
Greys: W0/1/2/3/4

If you pop over to Crafty Little Fairies you can check out the fabulous sparkly creations from my teamies.

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Challenges I am playing along with;
1.  Midweek Magnolias (Christmas is coming)
2.  As You Like It (fave season - Winter of course because I adore making Christmas cards, there are so many wonderful Christmas images out there to use!)
3.  The Ribbon Girl (Magnolia only & a charm)
4.  Marvellous Magnolia (anything goes)

Explosion of pink

Hello lovely people,

Before I get on to business I want to say sorry for not being around much lately and not visiting all your fabby blogs as much as I would like.  I'm having a bit of a busy period and will be round to see you all soon :-)
Thanks also to all my wonderful new followers and I'm so happy to have you here!

Ok, the main reason I'm here is, of course, that it's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this month is...

BUTTONS AND BOWS

A little while ago I made an explosion box card for someone in work and another colleague saw it and promptly comissioned TWO of them for her daughters' birthdays.  So, here is the first one.  To be honest I think it will be a bit unappreciated by a 2 year old but hopefully the adults will like it!

As with the previous one, the butterflies are 'floating' on acetate strips around the little fairy.  You can see that a little better in the close up here...

I'm sure you're eager to see this super cute fairy close up so here she is...

In case you're also eager to see the 'construction work' then here's a shot to show the inside with the 2 struts that I attached everything to...

Card recipe;
DP: American Crafts
Tag: Sentiment tags - LOTV
Scalloped edge: Martha Stewart double dot edge punch
Grass / butterflies: cut with Cricut

Copic colours;
Skin: E000/00/21/11/04 & R20
Hair: E21/25/29
Dress / shoes: V20/22/25
Flowers / dress frill: R30/R21/R32/R22
Mushroom: E40/41/42 & E42/43/44

If you haven't already done so then do pop over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies.  And don't forget to give a warm welcome to our two new Pink Ladies :-)

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,
