Decisions decisions...

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and OMG what is this???
I've been left in charge at the Pink Palace while the boss (Christine AKA Rizzo) has no internet!

Well, I think I managed to pull it all together without any major issues but we shall see...

Anyway, our theme this time is...

FUSSY & FANCY
OR
CLEAN AND SIMPLE

Ok, that's really 2 themes I guess...so, you have a choice to make, which wasn't hard for me as I do love the fussy and fancy!
I know to some people this isn't all that fussy and fancy but it is most definitely not CAS!

How cute is this little guy?!

I've been at the Christmas papers again for this one but it just shows how versatile they are!
The pretty soft blues are perfect to welcome a new baby.

Just chillin'

Hello lovely people,

Well, it's been a weekend of 2 halves!
Yesterday was a day out in the Caterham 7, driving across Wales with lots of other Caterhams for fish and chips in Aberdyfi and driving back again!
It was sunny but quite breezy so we had to wrap up warm but it was a great day out :-)
I'll pop some pics at the end if you're interested.

So, today has been a chilling and crafting day...and a computer game playing and football watching day in the case of Dr. Hubby!

It's not often I venture into the realms of male cards but sometimes it has to be done and LOTV do have some fab images to work with...and fab papers too!

Male card featuring LOTV 'lazy afternoon'

I had the urge to leave lots of white space around this image and keep to a few simple layers of DP; well, there's only so much you can add to a male design anyway!

Male card featuring LOTV 'lazy afternoon'

I had pretty much finished the card when I realised I hadn't put the age on it and now I can't imagine that the card would look finished without that little fishtail banner - it fills that corner of the card so perfectly!

Shirt / socks: W00/0/2
Newspaper: W00/0/2/4/6
Tree: E41/42/43/55/57
Leaves / grass: YG93/95/97

OK, I said I would show some pics, so here's a LOT of Caterhams all assembled at the start point; there's more than you can see in this photo too!
Our car is out of shot but that's me in the black jacket standing next to the chap with the red hat on :-)
Here's the only point where we got lost on the route...along with about a dozen other cars...we were all milling around trying to work out where we had gone wrong!

And here's our final destination; the fish and chips were yummy!

If anyone is really interested here's a video clip of us driving across the Brecons - shame you can't really hear the cars, just the wind noise!

I hope you have all had lovely weekends whatever you have been up to :-)

Can you see the sparkle?!

Hello lovely people,

All the lovely sunshine we have had in my little corner of the UK has really been lifting my spirits so I hope you have all seen some of it too.
I have almost finished tidying the garden, my tomato and chilli seeds are sprouting up, and the garlic is just peeping through; such exciting times :-)

In my crafting world though it's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

MAKE IT SPARKLE

We are delighted to have The Ribbon Girl sponsoring us again for this challenge with a £10 voucher :-)
As soon as you say 'sparkle' to me I think of fairies so that's what I've done!

Pink, girly, fairy card featuring Tilly by Saturated Canary

If you're searching for the sparkle, I added Stickles to all those little spots on my DP - that took a while!  But it does look pretty, even if the camera was not good at picking it up!

There's also sparkle for the fairy dust and along the edge of the wing.

I guess the star charm counts as sparkly too and I've used one of my favourite tricks of tying twine around a satin ribbon.

I finished this quite simply with a few flowers - I didn't want to overshadow the sweet fairy image.

Tea and bunting

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and our theme this time is...

3 OF SOMETHING

We are sponsored by Stamp and Create with a $20 voucher prize :-)

You know those cards that just come together so easily?
This wasn't one of those!

I had a totally different bit of DP for the backing but after I coloured the teapot it just didn't look right, but then happily I came across exactly the right piece of gingham instead!

Then I had this idea for some bunting...nice idea but it took a while to get it how I wanted of course!

None of my stamp sentiments seemed to look right so I generated one on the computer :-)

It still looked a little plain so I popped on a few flowers...and there's my 3 of something!

After all that I absolutely love the finished result but then it is pink and green which is one of my fave colour combos :-)

And I *really* love bunting!

Card recipe;

A love story

Hello lovely people,

Well this is exciting...I have my first card to share as part of the LOTV Design Collective and it's a little romantic number...

Romantic card featuring LOTV love balloon stamp

I had an urge to do some monochrome colouring with this fab image and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  Ok, not properly monochrome since I couldn't resist a little splash of red to match the papers!

I made a little tag to tuck in behind the image :-)

Now you see those yummy papers?  They are actually a Christmas collection!
I thought they were fab for a bold romantic look though and I just avoided the ones with snowflakes on!

Glamorous Tilda

Hello lovely people,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!

I was so thrilled to have some sunshine and that meant I could get in the garden so those fence panels are in and the garden is looking a whole lot tidier now :-)

I did have a bit less crafting time as a result but still got a few DT cards done as well as this card that I made for a few challenges...

I wanted this Tilda for ages but she always seemed to be out of stock so I was delighted to finally get hold of her a month or so ago...and it still took me until now to ink her up!

She got a pretty paper-pieced dress and I added a little Copic shading for depth.

You can see I couldn't resist using my Go Kreate dies again ;-)
I'm not getting bored of these any time soon so hope you aren't either!

Celebrate

Hello lovely people,

Today is my last day of work before the lovely long Easter weekend and I can't wait!
Dr. Hubby and I have a list of jobs to do around the house and garden, not least replacing the 3 very wind-damaged fence panels at the bottom of the garden, but with 4 days off I'm sure there will be plenty of time for crafting as well :-)

Since it's Thursday that means it's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

CELEBRATE

We are really lucky to have a sponsor again for this challenge and it's The Hobby House with a £10 voucher for one lucky person

A wedding is certainly cause for celebration and I have gone for cute and CAS on this one!

I got a few Crafter's Companion images a few weeks back and thought this one was especially great as it would fit lots of romantic occasions...and it's super cute!
